What woman doesn’t want to have a pretty collection of bras and underwear to choose from? Most women do, and they know that it’s hard to keep a lingerie collection clean. Bras get dirty. And, there’s nothing more attractive then dingy white bra straps showing from underneath a tank top. Brown bra straps that were once white is about as gross as chipped red nail polish on dirty, bitten fingernails. So if you’re into that look—don’t worry about reading any further, but if you prefer things on the cleaner side here’s what you need to do to keep those bras sparkling:
1.) Make sure the bra’s hooks are fastened before you start washing. This way they won’t snag on any other clothes.
2.) Use cool water and mild detergent for delicate fabrics.
3.) If you choose to machine wash, place your bra in a lingerie bag.
4.) Select the delicate cycle using cool water on your washing machine.
5.) Air dry bra after washing.
A great way to dress up an outfit is by wearing a fancy bra. Lacey little bra straps peeking out of a tank top or evening dress can be a sexy touch to an otherwise boring outfit. Some women even go as far as to wear a fancy bejeweled bra on its own underneath a blazer. Others prefer to wear sheer shirts over their decorative bras.
Lingerie is a term for women’s fashion undergarments and comes from the French word ‘lin’ for linen. While the term in the French language applies to all undergarments for either gender, in English it is applied only to those women’s undergarments designed to be erotic.
