If you have been diagnosed with breast cancer, you have had to face the very real possibility of a mastectomy. And if you’ve actually undergone this surgery, it is most certainly a scary and difficult time for any woman. Of course, health and personal well-being are the number one concern, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t lingering feelings of resentment about the loss of one or both of your breasts.
There are also bound to be feelings of self-consciousness. Fortunately, there are products to negate some of these feelings, including a breast prosthesis.
Breast prostheses are generally silicone bras, which can mask the loss of either one or both breasts. Women have responded positively to these products because they still manage to look natural, even under clinging clothing.
